Challenge | How can the State of Georgia meet a growing need for trained health information technology professionals to implement and manage electronic health records?
Process | We generated an array of features aimed at providing non-traditional learners with flexible ways of learning, along with leverage national partnerships.
Design | Building upon national curriculum development efforts, the team implemented an online, self-paced program designed for non-traditional students, including adult learners and veterans.
Outcome (anticipated) | Students completed the personalized program in under a year, resulting in job-ready skills.
This training program was deployed at Gwinnett Technical College (GTC) with the support of the Interoperability & Integration Innovation Lab (I3L) and the Center for 21st Century Universities (C21U).
